Here is an update on the search to replace Rick Stansbury at Mississippi State…. Mississippi State AD Scott Stricklin is going with Parker Executive Search to help identify candidates. SCF coach resigns
State College of Florida head coach Joe Whelton has resigned. Whelton had only spent one season at SCF. He felt that he could not accomplish what he wanted to with the position being part-time. Assistant coaches Lem Andrews and Altron Jackson will remain on the staff until a new coach is hired. Stay with HoopDirt
HOT RUMOR: Hurley to URI
Multiple sources are reporting that Wagner head coach Danny Hurley will be the choice to replace Jim Baron at the University of Rhode Island. Arnold out at Clark College

Mike Davis has been fired as the head coach at Alabama-Birmingham. Davis was informed of the decision in a meeting with AD Brian Mackin this morning.
