Long-time NHTI Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Athletic Director Paul Hogan has announced his retirement. The school released the following statement earlier today on Facebook:
Paul Hogan has announced his retirement today, ending his 43 year career in athletics. Most notably, as many of you know, Paul dedicated more than two decades at NHTI as the Men’s Basketball Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Paul said, “NHTI has been a very special place for the past 23 years. My time with our Lynx will always be cherished. I look forward to continuing my relationship with NHTI in a different role moving in to a new chapter of my life.”

His career was decorated with incredible accolades, as well as connections to so many players, parents, and members of our community. He has given our small college everything, and his success with the basketball program was nothing short of elite.
Hogan took over at NHTI back in 2000 after eight seasons as the head coach at D3 Plymouth State. He led his NHTI squads to USCAA National Championships in 2005 and 2020, and a runner-up finish in 2002.
Hogan was recognized as the USCAA National Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2018. Additionally, he has been inducted into the Plymouth State and NHTI Hall of Fame, and has earned the James Desmarais award for contributions to athletics in N.H.
