New Northwest Nazarene head coach Scott Flemming has hired two assistant coaches. He retained current assistant Kyle Joseph, and brought in Paul Rush.
Kyle Joseph: Joined the Crusader basketball staff prior to the start of the 2014-15 academic year after spending six year at the University of Akron. During his time with the NCAA Division I Zips, Joseph spent four seasons as a student manager and the last two season as a graduate assistant coach. Joseph was part of 2 Mid-American Conference championship teams and went to the NCAA National Tournament in 2009, 2011 and 2013 as a member of the Akron coaching staff.
Paul Rush: Begins his first season as an assistant in 2015 after a successful career as the head boys basketball coach at Capital High School in Boise, Idaho. Rush recenty led the Eagles to third place in the 2015 5A State Tournament, following up on an undeafeted season in 2014 as Capital captured the 2014 5A State Championships. Rush began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Capital sophomore boys basketball team in 2003, working his way up to head coach and taking over the Eagles program in 2009.
