Travis Garrett has officially been named as the Interim Head Men’s Basketball Coach at East Georgia State College. This was first reported by HoopDirt.com back on 1/26 (JUCO DIRT).

East Georgia State College is proud to announce Travis Garrett as the interim head coach for the EGSC men’s basketball team. Garrett comes to Swainsboro from Americus, Georgia.
Garrett brings over 20 years of coaching and recruiting experience to EGSC. For the past five years, he was the head coach of the men’s basketball team at South Georgia Technical College. Before his time at South Georgia Technical College, Garrett held the head coach position at the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie. While at USC Salkehatchie Garrett built the program from the ground up and made them into one of the most respected programs in the region.
Throughout his time in college, Garrett stayed on the basketball court. While obtaining his associate of arts degree at College of Central Florida in Ocala, Florida, he was on the basketball team and was named one of the top 100 Junior College Players in the U.S. by Street and Smith Magazine. He continued his education at Stetson University in Deland, Florida, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in sports management. During his time at Stetson University, Garrett was on the Trans America Athletic Conference All-Tournament basketball team.
