OFFICIAL: Quinnipiac University Announces Men’s Basketball Coaching Change

Following up on a report from earlier today…

Quinnipiac University Director of Athletics & Recreation Greg Amodio has announced that Tom Moore has been relieved of his duties as Quinnipiac’s men’s basketball head coach, as announced on Tuesday, Mar. 7, 2017.

The decision comes at the end of the Bobcats’ season following the team’s loss in the first round of the MAAC Basketball Championships in Albany, New York on Thursday, Mar. 2, 2017.

“After reviewing the last two seasons and talking with Coach Moore, I have decided that a change in leadership of the men’s basketball program is needed for it to move forward in meeting our goals,” Amodio said. “We are grateful to Tom Moore and his staff for their commitment to our program over the past 10 years. We appreciate all that he has done for the University in guiding his student-athletes’ performance on the court and in the classroom.”

A national search for Moore’s replacement will begin immediately. Quinnipiac has retained the services of DHR International to assist in securing the Bobcats’ next head coach.
