Old Dominion adds Brami and Wade to Men’s Basketball Staff

Old Dominion head men’s basketball coach Mike Jones rounded out his 2024-25 coaching staff with Aidan Brami joining as Video Coordinator and Assistant Director of Operations, along with naming Jason Wade as a Graduate Assistant.

“Rounding out our staff with Aidan and Jason, the young guys, completes our 30-day plan as we build our program. Both are incredibly mature, and each brings an energy and enthusiasm that is infectious. As the entire staff pours into our players, these two will be leaned on heavily as they are so relatable to both the current roster and our staff – their roles are invaluable to our future success,” said Jones.

Jones on Brami
“Aidan is a true grinder. His work ethic and enthusiasm stand out immediately when you meet him. Aidan will truly be instrumental in our daily prep, scheduling, scouting, and pretty much everything else. When putting a staff together, you need someone like Aidan who is so selfless and is an energy giver. We are lucky to have him.”

Jason Wade
Graduate Assistant

One of the most popular Monarchs of all-time, Jason Wade will shift to the sidelines this season and serve as a graduate assistant coach.

Wade played in 107 games in his ODU career and was a member of the 2018-19 Conference USA Tournament Champions. He missed over two seasons with injuries, only to return and be a “coach on the floor” as the Monarchs transitioned into Sun Belt Conference play.

As a sophomore he averaged 10.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game. He hit 56.2% from the field, 65.2% from the line for career best numbers.

He scored 23 points against Charlotte as a sophomore for his career best, while hauling in 10 rebounds twice in his career including this past season against Central Michigan. He set a Diamondhead Classic record with a career high six steals against UMass on Christmas Eve 2023.

Wade will finish his master’s in education in May of 2025.

Jones on Wade
“Having Jason able to join our staff is amazing. He is a true ODU Monarch through and through. He represents what a Monarch Student-Athlete should be and will be a great asset as the program transitions. We all are excited about the future with Jason on our side and just as excited to watch him get his post playing career started. We are thankful that he is doing it with us.”
