DePaul men’s basketball head coach Chris Holtmann officially announced the addition of Cowan Olinger to the men’s basketball staff, Monday morning. Olinger joins the Blue Demons as Assistant Director of Operations and Video Coordinator.
Additionally, Drew Bryson has been elevated to Director of Men’s Basketball Recruiting as he enters his fifth season on staff at DePaul.
Olinger comes to Lincoln Park following three seasons on staff at Western Michigan where he served as the Broncos Director of Basketball Operations.
Olinger arrived in Kalamazoo following five seasons at Miami (Ohio) where he worked with current DePaul assistant coach, Jack Owens, as the programs director of basketball operations and graduate assistant. During his time with the RedHawks, Olinger was responsible for all behind-the-scenes and video operations of the program. He served as a student-manager at Purdue from 2013-17, spending his final season as the program’s head manager.
Olinger earned his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue in 2017 and his master’s degree in Sport Leadership and Management from Miami in 2019.
