Presbyterian Blue Hose men’s basketball coach Quinton Ferrell has signed a contract extension.
“I’m really excited about being the coach at PC for the foreseeable future,” said Ferrell. “We have built a great foundation within the program and I’m looking forward to leading the program as we take the next step in pursuing our goal of continuing to move the program to new heights.”
Ferrell is entering his sixth season as Presbyterian’s head coach and his 11th overall as a member of Presbyterian’s coaching staff.
Last season, Ferrell guided the Blue Hose to the program’s second postseason tournament bid in Presbyterian’s Division I era as well as to a road victory over SEC foe Vanderbilt. The Blue Hose finished tied for fifth place in the Big South which is tied for the highest Big South finish in school history.
During his time as Presbyterian’s head coach, Ferrell has coached and recruited players who earned Big South Freshman of the Year and two Big South Scholar-Athletes of the Year awards, four All-Big South selections, and four Big South All-Freshman team honorees.
“We are excited about the future of our men’s basketball program under the direction of Coach Ferrell,” said Dee Nichols, Presbyterian’s Director of Athletics “I look forward to continue watching the program rise to new heights.”
