Following the DUI arrest of Head Basketball Coach Darris Nichols on Sunday, Radford has elevated assistant Shane Nichols to Acting Head Coach. The University released the following statement via Twitter:

Shane Nichols is the older brother of Darris, and is also in his second season at RU.

Also, according to a report from 10 News, following his arrest Darris Nichols blew a 0.25 BAC. That is more than three times the legal limit of 0.08.

Radford (17-12 / 11-5 Big South) has two regular season games remaining, including tonight at High Point.
