Central Arkansas Head Coach Rand Chappell has had his contract extended through the 2011-2012 season. Coach Chappell has an 85-64 record in 5 years at Central Arkansas and an overall career record of 283-126 (124-40 in 4 years at Henderson State and 78-22 in 3 season at Phillips). Central Arkansas is in the process of becoming a full-time DI member. They began their exploratory year in 2005-2006. This extension will ensure that Coach Chappell can see the Bears through the entire reclassifying process.
