Chris Reeves has been added as a Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach on first-year Head Coach Ryan Orton’s staff at Western Oregon University.
Reeves, comes to Monmouth from Central Michigan University, where during the 2024-2025 season he worked as Director of Basketball Operations. Prior to becoming Director of Basketball Operations, Reeves served as the Director of Player Development in 2023-2024 and Assistant Director of Basketball Operations from 2019-2021. He spent the 2021-2023 seasons working as an Assistant Coach in Florida, crowned by helping lead Indian River State College (Florida) to become the 2023 NJCAA Region 8 Southern Conference Champions.
Reeves, a Chicago, Illinois native, earned a Bachelor’s of Art in History from the University of Oregon in 2018, during which he also worked with the Ducks Men’s Basketball Team as a student-manager. During his four-year tenure with the Ducks men’s team, they won three Pac-12 titles and made a March Madness run in 2017, reaching the NCAA Final Four. In 2021, Reeves received a Master’s of Science in Leadership from Central Michigan. Reeves and his wife have one daughter, Octavia.
