According to a report by Jon Rothstein, St. John’s head coach Chris Mullin is expected to resign (or according to other reports, be bought out).
Mullin led his alma mater to a 21-13 record this past season, and an NCAA tournament appearance. His win total increased in each of his four seasons with the Red Storm, going from 8, to 14, to 16, and then 21.
This all comes after a ton of speculation regarding Mullin’s future, including this statement from AD Mike Cragg two days ago; “Let me be clear, and [as] I said from the start, Coach Mullin is our head coach and we are not looking for another head coach“
