According to a Jeff Goodman report, Columbia will hire Florida assistant Kevin Hovde as their new head coach. HoopDirt mentioned Hovde as being in the mix here back on 3/19 (DAILY DIRT).

Hovde has been at Florida since 2022 and has also worked with current Gators head coach Todd Golden at Columbia and San Francisco. He has also been an assistant at his alma mater, Richmond.

He would be the second Florida assistant to become a head coach this spring – John Andrzejek was named as the head coach at Campbell last week.
