In one of the worst kept secrets of this off season, Fred Hoiberg has finalized his deal to become the head basketball coach at Nebraska, according to a report from the The World-Herald.
Hoiberg, the former Chicago Bulls and Iowa State head coach, is a Lincoln, Nebraska native. His grandfather, Jerry Bush, coached the Huskers from 1954-63.
In his five seasons at Iowa State, Hoiberg went 115-56, and had a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2014.
More on this one when it becomes official.
