According to a report by Andrew Lopez from The Times-Picayune, LSU will part ways with head basketball coach Johnny Jones following the SEC tournament. LSU is currently 10-20 (2-16 SEC), and will face Mississippi State tomorrow night in the opening round of the SEC Tournament.
In his five seasons at LSU, Jones put together a 90-71 mark. He is currently under contract until 2019.
Before becoming the head coach at LSU back in 2012, Jones spent 11-seasons as the head coach at North Texas (190-146). With the UNT job recently opened (Benford relieved of coaching duties at North Texas), there are already some whispers of Jones making a return to Denton…
