According to a report by the Athletic, Louisville and coach Chris Mack are in the final stages of negotiations for a separation agreement.
The report says that, “a meeting of Louisville’s Board of Trustees and Athletics Board has been called for Wednesday to consider approving the agreement and Tuesday’s edition of the Chris Mack Radio Show was canceled. Nothing is finalized but the widespread expectation in Louisville is that Mack has coached his last game there.”
Mack has been the head coach at Louisville since 2018 (68-37), and had spent nine seasons before that as the head coach at Xavier (215-97). He is reportedly under contract through the 2024-25 season.
