REPORT: Loyola to elevate Valentine to head coach

According to multiple reports, including one from the Chicago Sun Times, Loyola University Chicago is expected to elevate assistant Drew Valentine to head coach. He would replace Porter Moser, who officially took over at Oklahoma this weekend.

Valentine, who turns 30 in May, played collegiately at Oakland University. Following his playing days, he spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Michigan State, where his brother Denzel starred during that time (he now plays for the Chicago Bulls). Valentine then returned to Oakland as an assistant for two seasons before moving on to Loyola in 2017.

More on this when it becomes official.
