According to an ESPN report, former NC State head coach Mark Gottfried is expected to be named as the next coach at Cal State Northridge. He would replace Reggie Theus who was fired last week.

Gottfried, who was released at NC State following last season, had been working as a scout for the Dallas Mavericks this year. In addition to his six seasons at NC State (2011-17) he was also the head coach at Alabama (1998-09), and Murray State (1995-1998). He has a career record of 402-240 in his 20 seasons as a DI head coach.
