According to a Pete Thamel post, the University of Utah will hire Alex Jensen as their next head basketball coach. The Utah alum and former standout has been on the Mavs staff since 2023, and spent ten seasons as an assistant with the Utah Jazz before that. More on this one once it becomes official.

Dallas Mavericks assistant Alex Jensen has accepted the job as the next coach at Utah, sources tell me and @jeffborzello. He’s a former star player there and has been an NBA assistant since 2013. He’s a former head coach of the Canton Charge in the G League.
