Mount Saint Mary’s is set to hire Southern Vermont head coach Dan Engelstad as their next men’s basketball coach. This news was first reported by Kyle McFadden. Engelstad would replace Jamion Christian who became the head coach at Siena a few weeks ago.

In five seasons as the head coach at DIII Southern Vermont, Engelstad put together a 104-34 record. This past season, his squad captured the NECC Championship with a 22-6 record.

Prior to becoming a DIII head coach, Engelstad served as an assistant to Milan Brown at both Mount Saint Mary’s and Holy Cross.

The press conference is expected today.
