REPORT: SMU fires Lanier after 20-win season

According to a report from Jeff Goodman, SMU has fired head basketball coach after just two seasons.

Lanier won ten games in his first season at SMU, and doubled that total this season, finishing 20-13 and advancing to the NIT.

Lanier has also been the head coach at Georgia State and Siena. He holds a career record of 141-135 (.511) nine seasons as a D1 head coach.

More on this ridiculous move once it’s made official.
