Marist will hire John Dunne as their next head basketball coach according to a report by Jon Rothstein. Dunne has been the head coach at MAAC foe St. Peter’s since 2006 where he has compiled a 153-225 record, including a 14-18 (6-12) mark this past season. Before coming to St. Peter’s, Dunne served as an assistant at Seton Hall, and has also worked at Siena and Manhattan.

Wagner head coach Bashir Mason was involved here as was LeMoyne head coach Patrick Beilein. Both had reportedly withdrawn their interest over the past week.
