According to a Pete Thamel tweet, Western Illinois head coach Rob Jeter is finalizing a deal to become the new head coach at Southern Utah.
Jeter has been at WIU for the past three seasons and also spent 11 years as the head coach at Milwaukee. He owns a 223-215 (.509) career record, and left Milwaukee as their all-time D1 leader in wins.
Last season, he led Western Illinois to a 16-14 (9-9 Summit League) record. Jeter has also been an assistant at Minnesota, UNLV, and Wisconsin.
Jeter would replace Todd Simon, who became the head coach at Bowling Green back on March 15th.
More on this when it becomes official.
