The University of Denver men’s basketball program is looking for camp coaches for the 2019 Rodney Billups Basketball Camp. All Camps will take place at Hamilton Gymnasium on the campus of the University of Denver in the heart of the Mile High City. Working camp provides a great opportunity for individuals looking to break into the coaching business. Camp coaches will have the opportunity to gain experience on the court and also network and get to know the University of Denver Basketball Staff. Camp Coach applicants for any camps may be subject to a background check.
Day Camp 1
Dates: June 3-6
Time: 9am – 4pm
Day Camp 2
Dates: June 17-20
Time: 9am – 4pm
The Rodney Billups Day Camp teaches the fundamental skills all players need, while emphasizing having fun while playing basketball. It is designed for campers of all ages and skills sets. Campers will be taught the fundamentals of the game through stations, competitions and games.
Interested applicants should have a basketball background and an understanding of basketball fundamentals (coaching and/or playing experience preferred, but not necessary). Camp Counselors need to be enthusiastic, engaging & and excited to work with young people. Camp Counselors must be punctual and hardworking each day of camp, they will be responsible for campers on their team.
Little Dribblers Camp
Dates: June 10-12
Time: 9am – 1pm
The Rodney Billups Little Dribbler’s camp is designed as an introduction to the game of basketball. With age appropriate goals and balls, each camper will have the opportunity to learn the basics of the game while developing a strong sense of team.
Interested applicants should have a basketball background and an understanding of basketball fundamentals (coaching and/or playing experience preferred, but not necessary). Camp Counselors need to be enthusiastic, engaging & and excited to work with young people. Camp Counselors must be punctual and hardworking each day of camp, they will be responsible for campers on their team.
Elite Camp
Dates:
June 15th: 4-8pm
June 16th: 10am-2pm
The Rodney Billups Elite Camp is open to athletes ages 13 & up. Elite Camp Is designed for serious basketball players with hopes of playing at the next level after high school. The camp curriculum will combine individual skill stations, Team Drills and full-court games designed to enhance the players’
understanding of team basketball.
Elite camp is used as a recruiting & evaluation tool for our program. The ideal candidate for and Elite Camp Counselor has an extensive understanding of basketball with a coaching and/or playing background. Current college coaches are preferred (NCAA Division II or III or equivalent) but position is open to non-current college coaches as well.
Team Camp
Dates: June 7-9
Times TBD
Team camp is open to high school & AAU programs around the country to come compete at the University of Denver. Varsity teams are guaranteed 7 games (5 pool play games & 2 bracket games). JV & Fr/So teams are guaranteed 6 games.
Camp Counselors for team camp will assist with camp organization and execution.
Camp Registration for interested high school teams is still open.

-5 Pool Play games Friday & Saturday
-2 Tournament Style games on Sunday
Cost: $600 Per Team
Freshmen/Sophomore & JV
6 Game Guarantee
-2 games on Friday evening, 2 games on Saturday morning, 2 games on Sunday morning
-No tournament for younger levels
Cost: $500 Per Team
