One of the hottest names in the coaching market is now off the board.
Josh Schertz has agreed to a contract extension to remain the head men’s basketball coach at Saint Louis University, according to athletic director Chris May. The deal was announced before the Billikens’ win over George Washington University in the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
Saint Louis improved to 28–4 this season under Schertz, matching a school record for wins. The Billikens earned the top seed in the A-10 Tournament after finishing 15–3 in conference play and capturing their first regular-season title since 2014. Schertz is in his second season at Saint Louis and has compiled a 46–19 record during his tenure.
