Samford is expected to name Bucky McMillan as their new head basketball coach. The official announcement is set for Monday April 6th at 10am.

The 36-year old McMillan has has won five state championships at nearby Mountain Brook High School. The Birmingham native has been at MBHS for the past 12 seasons.

He would replace Scott Padget who was fired back on March 17th after six seasons at Samford (84-115).
