The dismissal of head basketball coach Orlando Antigua back on January 3rd wasn’t the only change on the South Florida staff. Director of Basketball operations Jerry McCullough is now no longer part of the program. He is a long-time friend and former teammate of Antigua’s – they played together at Pitt, and played against each other in high school in NYC (Antigua played at St. Raymond’s while McCullough played at Rice). USF Video Coordinator Spencer Smith has been promoted to DBO replacing McCullough. He joined the Bulls staff this past off-season after his graduation from Oklahoma where he served as a graduate assistant under Lon Kruger. Replacing Smith as the Video Coordinator is Tim Sylver, a 2012 USF graduate who most recently served as the video coordinator for the Bulls women’s basketball program. There is no word on whether another assistant will be added to replace Murry Bartow who was elevated to interim head coach.
