According to a report by the Albany Times Union, DII College of Saint Rose head men’s basketball coach Brian Beaury has retired. The 1982 St. Rose grad has been at the helm of his alma mater since 1986, and has compiled a 643-325 career record. Beaury told the Times Union, “It is just time,” Beaury said Wednesday afternoon. “I need to hit the pause button and do some other things right now. What I didn’t want to do was keep prolonging what is inevitable.”

There is no word yet on his replacement. St. Rose opens the season next week with an exhibition game at Syracuse.
