A bunch of things that I’ve heard today…

• I can confirm that Bill Morosco will become the DBO at The Citadel.  He was most recently an administrative staffer for Jim Les at UC Davis.

• I can also confirm that Columbia has hired Jonathan Safir as a Graduate Assistant.  He played at DIII Vassar College (NY) from 2011-2015.

• The new head coach at Clarendon College (TX) is Hill College assistant coach Isaac Amedee.  He has also served as the head coach at Hosanna Christian Academy (La.) and was an assistant at Dodge City CC (KS) before that.  I have heard that the official announcement will be made early next week.

• I have heard that Bridgewater College (Va.) has found their replacement for head coach Don Burgess who resigned back in March (Burgess Resigns at Bridgewater).  The official announcement will be made on Monday – I hope to have the name before that!

• It sounds like there are five finalists for the vacancy at NJCAA South Georgia Tech.  The names that I’ve heard are: Travis Garrett (former head coach USC Salkehatchie), Ben Hicks (assistant coach Columbus State [GA]), James Bankhead (assistant coach Iowa Western), Bob Martin (Coastal Georgia), and Chris Wade (head coach Tift County HS [GA]).  I have heard that on campus interviews will begin on Monday.

• The search to replace Joe Kittell at Lake Region State is on.  I have heard that current assistant coach Jared Marshall has already interviewed, and is considered the leader.  Last season was Marshall’s first at LRSC – he worked at the University of Mary before that, which is ironically where Kittell just became the head coach.
