The University of Tennessee has suspended assistant men’s basketball coach Rod Clark for the first two games if the 2023-24 seasons. The Vols released the following statement:
“The University and assistant men’s basketball coach Rod Clark are working collaboratively with the NCAA to address a violation. Coach Clark is suspended for the first two games of the 2023-24 season versus Tennessee Tech and Wisconsin. Coach Clark has acknowledged his error in judgement and accepted full responsibility. We appreciate his cooperation throughout the process. NCAA bylaws prohibit additional comments or details.”
Clark is in his third year on Rick Barnes staff after previously serving as an assistant at Austin Peay 2020-21) and Illinois Chicago (2019-20). He also worked as an assistant at Sunrise Christian Academy (KS) from 2017-19, and spent time coaching with MoKan Elite program on the Nike EYBL circuit.
