Terrence Commodore Joins Eastern Kentucky Staff

Kentucky native Terrence Commodore will join the Eastern Kentucky men’s basketball staff as Director of Player Personnel.

Commodore’s duties at EKU will include planning recruiting schedules for staff, assisting in on-campus official visits by recruits, and serving as a liaison between players and the coaching staff.

“TC will be instrumental in our on-campus recruiting and will be a wonderful mentor to our current student-athletes,” Head Coach Dan McHale said. “Being an EKU grad and a native Kentuckian will be an asset to our staff as we look to bring the best players in the Commonwealth into the Colonel family.”

The Maysville native served as a volunteer for Head Coach Jeff Neubauer while an undergraduate student at Eastern Kentucky. He earned a bachelor’s of science in physical education with an emphasis in sports administration in 2007. In his role, he assisted in updating recruiting profiles, video and practice drills.

Commodore served as a graduate assistant/program assistant at the University of Kentucky from 2007 to 2011. While working at UK, the Wildcats made an Elite 8 (2010) and Final Four appearance (2011). His responsibilities included on-campus recruiting, film breakdown after games, player development on and off the court, and assisting with scouting reports. He assisted in the recruiting process of former Wildcats John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, DeMarcus Cousins, Brandon Knight and Darius Miller.

Commodore earned his master’s degree in sports leadership from Kentucky in 2011.

In 2011 Commodore founded Camp One LLC. The company provides high quality basketball, football and baseball camps around the region involving professional athletes. Camp One also provides individual skills training sessions for basketball players of all ages.
