Three small college coaches to retire

Three small college coaches have announced today that they are retiring. Here’s the rundown…

• Montclair State (NJ) head coach Ted Fiore has announced that he will step down effective October 14th. Current assistant Daren Rowe will take over as the interim head coach. Fiore has been that head coach at Montclair St. Since 1998 compiling a 243-170 record. He also spent nine seasons as the head coach at St. Peter’s (151-110).

• Tallahassee CC head coach Eddie Barnes will retire at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season. This season will be his 14th at TCC – he has also been the head coach at Wallace CC-Dothan. In 23 years as an NJCAA head coach, he has compiled a 451-243 record.

• Mid-America Christian University (OK) head coach Willie Holley will also retire at the end of the 2014-15 season. Holley enters this season, his 42nd at MACU, with 788 victories that puts him second all-time in the NAIA. A national search for his replacement will be done – we will post the job shortly.
