Tibaldi Named DBO at DePaul

DePaul head coach Dave Leitao announced today that Bryan Tibaldi has joined the program as director of basketball operations. Tibaldi spent the last four seasons in the same role at Missouri and will handle day-to-day operations of the DePaul program.

“Bryan will be an integral element of our daily operations in coordinating our team travel, recruiting and academics,” said Leitao. “His familiarity with myself and Rick as well as the city of Chicago will be vital for our program and student-athlete success.”

The Traverse City, Mich. native returns to Chicago where he spent two years working for the Chicago Bulls. Tibaldi spent the 2009-2010 season working for the coaching staff as assistant video coordinator before moving into the front office as a basketball operations assistant during the 2010-2011 season.

Tibaldi started his career at Missouri as the video coordinator before being elevated to director of operations in 2013. With the Tigers, Tibaldi worked with Leitao from 2012-14 under head coach Frank Haith. The 2012-13 Missouri staff featured Leitao, Tibaldi and current DePaul associate head coach Rick Carter.

The 2007 graduate of Michigan State was a two-year letterwinner as a walk-on for the Spartans. Following his playing days for Tom Izzo, Tibaldi was a graduate assistant from 2007-09 and helped the Spartans to a 58-16 record that included a 2009 Big Ten title before reaching the national championship game.
