The University of California Santa Cruz released the following statement regarding head men’s basketball coach Ron DuBois:

Effective March 19, 2021, ninth-year UC Santa Cruz Head Men’s Basketball Coach Ron DuBois is out on a leave of absence.

Assistant Coach Sam Walters will be interim coach during this time period.

What’s interesting is that DuBois has been removed from the team roster and the staff directory on the UC Santa Cruz website.

DuBois has gone 82-113 (.421) during his tenure at UCSC. The Banana Slugs did not play this season.
