Former Penn State interim head coach Jim Ferry has been named as the new head coach at UMBC. He will replace Ryan Odom who became the head coach at Utah State earlier this month. The formal introduction will take place this Wednesday.
The coaching veteran has spent 20-seasons as a head coach, with stops at Penn State (2020-21), Duquesne (2012-17), LIU (2002-12), Adelphi (1999-02), and Plymouth State (1998-99). He holds an over all career record of 325-279 (.538).
