Wallace joins Humboldt State Men’s Basketball Staff

Dee Wallace enters his first season as a member of the Humboldt State men’s basketball coaching staff. Wallace will be the Lumberjack’s recruiting coordinator. He comes to HSU from Pearl River Community College in Mississippi, where he was the assistant coach this past season for the Wildcats.

This past season, the Wildcats captured the MACJC Championships and were the NJCAA Region XXIII Champions. They went 28-0 and were ranked first in the nation. Entering the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas, Pearl River was the number one seed.

Prior to Pearl River, Wallace was the assistant coach at Adams State in Colorado. He helped lead the Grizzlies to an appearance in the RMAC Tournament. Wallace was a member of the staff at Cal State Bakersfield prior to Pearl River as the Director of Player Development for Coach Rod Barnes.

Wallace began his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant at Cal State Monterey Bay.

He played his freshman year of collegiate basketball ball at the University of Nebraska-Omaha before transferring to Cal State Bakersfield. Wallace was inducted into the Roadrunner Society Hall of Fame as well as the CSUB Golden Circle Hall of Fame.

Wallace graduated from Oxford High School in 2010, where he played basketball and was a First Team All-District and All-Area selection his senior season.
