White added to Southern Nazarene Basketball Staff

Southern Nazarene University Men’s Basketball Head Coach B.J. Foster announced the hiring of C.J. White as the new assistant coach. White joins Foster, assistant coach Julious Coleman and graduate assistant coach RJ Palmer in leading the reigning Great American Conference champions.

White returns to Southern Nazarene where he played from 2015-2017. Following his playing career, he served as a graduate assistant coach at SNU from 2020-2022.

Last season, White served as the Assistant Basketball Coach at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas. With the Bulldogs, White assisted with scouting and recruiting, as well as worked closely with student-athletes in training both on and off of the court.

Coach Foster spoke highly of White, saying, “I am extremely excited to welcome Coach White back to SNU. CJ has a great passion for coaching and a true love for Southern Nazarene, which will make him a great addition to our program.”

As a player at Southern Nazarene, White started in 48 of his 58 games played. He averaged nearly 10 points per game and over 6 rebounds per game in two seasons. He also blocked 40 shots.

Prior to playing at SNU, White attended Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Mississippi from 2013-2015. He helped the team win a national championship in 2014 and was named an MACJC All-Star in 2015.

White earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Southern Nazarene in 2017 and completed his Master’s degree at SNU in Sports Management/Administration in 2022.
