Olney Central has named Casey Wyllie as men’s basketball interim head coach after the final Board of Trustee approval on June 16, 2020. An assistant for the Blue Knights last year, Wyllie will begin directing the program following long time head coach Mike Burris, who took an assistant coaching position at the University of Indianapolis. Burris was the head coach at Olney Central for the past fifteen years and was an assistant for four years prior to taking over as head coach in July 2005. Burris also played at Olney Central.
“I am beyond excited to take over the basketball program at Olney Central. I would like to thank Athletic Director Dennis Conley and President Rodney Ranes for giving me this opportunity. This community, school, and athletic department has welcomed me with open arms since last June. I cannot wait to build on the foundation that Coach Burris has laid here for over a decade. I believe we have the necessary resources in place to compete at the top of the GRAC and Region 24.”
