Michael Musselman, the son of Nevada head men’s basketball coach Eric Musselman, will work as a graduate assistant in 2018-19 for the Wolf Pack basketball team. He joins the Musselman coaching tree as his grandfather Bill Musselman was an NCAA and NBA coach just as his father Eric.
“I’m really excited to add Michael to our coaching staff,” Eric Musselman said. “He will provide high energy and a great work ethic to our coaching staff. I was very fortunate to work for my father at a young age and the opportunity to work with my son is something that is very special.”
Michael Musselman joins the Pack after four seasons as a student manager at the University of San Diego. While working with the Toreros he assisted with team and individual practice sessions for a squad that posted a 20-14 record this past season. In addition he helped with opponent scouting reports, editing of film and the production of statistical analysis breakdowns of games.
He graduated from the University of San Diego in May of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in business administration. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership at the University of Nevada.
