Dominic Tharpe has submitted his resignation as head coach of the Motlow State Community College Lady Bucks’ basketball program, effectively immediately, according to Motlow Athletic Director Laura Monks.

Motlow men’s assistant coach Arthur Latham has been named interim head coach of the Lady Bucks.  This is Latham’s first season at Motlow.  He had been an assistant coach at St. Catharine for the past five seasons, helping guide the program to two NAIA National Tournament appearances. Latham played for and coached under current Motlow head coach J.T. Burton while at St. Catharine.

The Lady Bucks’ scheduled contest tonight against Martin Methodist College JV team has been cancelled. The Bucks will play Martin Methodist as scheduled tonight at Copperweld Arena, with tipoff at 4:30 p.m. The Lady Bucks will join the Bucks in hosting Southwest Tennessee Friday night, with the men scheduled to tip at 5:30 p.m.
