HoopDirt.com can confirm that Owens Community College head coach Dave Clarke has resigned from his position effective immediately. Clarke was in his sixth season as the head coach at OCC – his team is currently 8-4 (1-1). In his first five seasons, Clarke had guided the program to a 118-44 record. He had led his teams to a pair of OCCAC championships, one Region XII District 11 championship and one NJCAA Final Four appearance. HoopDirt.com can also confirm that assistant coach Dennis Springs has taken over the program on an interim basis. The former Ferris State player is in his fourth season at OCC, and had previously served as a high school coach in Ohio.
