I have heard from a great source that Garden City Community College (KS) will name Patrick Nee as their new head basketball coach. He will replace Brady Trenkle who resigned late last week to accept a DI assistant job (more on that one shortly).

Nee has been an assistant under Trenkle at GCCC since 2016. The Jayhawk Conference veteran has previously served as the head coach at both Independence CC (2009-13), and Highland CC (2006-2009).  He has also worked as an assistant at Seward Country CC and Central Florida CC.

Nee is the son of Danny Nee, the former head coach at Ohio, Nebraska, Robert Morris, and Duquense.

An official announcement is expected as early as tomorrow.
