Tulsa Press Release

Tulsa head coach Doug Wojcik has been officially let go after 7 seasons. Wojcik compiled a 140-92 record in his seven seasons at the helm of the Golden Hurricane program. In his tenure, Wojcik guided Tulsa to three postseason appearances, winning the CBI Championship in 2008 and advancing to the NIT in 2009 and 2010.

Virginia Intermont coach resigns

Virginia Intermont College has announced that head men’s basketball coach Scott Hoagland has resigned. Hoagland has been Virginia Intermont College’s men’s basketball coach since the 2007-2008 season. In his five years, Hoagland has compiled a record of 45-105 including a 2-3 record in post-season play. The search for a new head coach will begin immediately.

Breaking: Wojcik Out at Tulsa

Doug Wojcik will not return as the University of Tulsa’s basketball coach, according to a Tulsa World report. School officials met with the coach during an early afternoon meeting. The university is expected to make a formal announcement at a 4 p.m. news conference today. Once we learn more we will keep you updated.
