JUCO DIRT: Mueller Resigns as Head Basketball at Bismarck State (ND)

HoopDirt.com has learned that Joe Mueller has resigned as the head basketball coach at Bismarck State College (ND).  The BSC alum just wrapped up his third year as the school where his squad finished 11-17 (4-8).  Mueller was 38-45 overall during his tenure.  The official announcement is expected later this afternoon.

REPORT: Johnny Dawkins Fired as Basketball Coach at Stanford

The tough day in the Bay area continues…Multiple reports including CBSSports and ESPN are reporting that Stanford has fired head coach Johnny Dawkins.  This news comes on the heals of the announcement earlier that Cal assistant Yann Hufnagel will be terminated for violating the University’s sexual harassment policy. REPORT: Cornell Fires Bill Courtney

Cornell University has parted ways with men’s basketball coach Bill Courtney, according to ESPN. Courtney’s teams went 60-113 overall and 27-57 in the Ivy League in his six years. More on this after it becomes official.

REPORT: Rodney Billups to be Named Head Coach at Denver

Multiple outlets including 9NEWS in Denver and ESPN are reporting that Colorado assistant Rodney Billups will become the next head coach at the University of Denver.  Billups, the younger brother of former NBA standout Chauncey Billups, has been on the Colorado staff for the past six seasons.  He played at the University of Denver from 2002-2005 Billups
