REPORT: UCLA to Retain Steve Alford

According to the BruinReportOnline.com, UCLA will retain head basketball coach Steve Alford.  According to the report, after this year’s team lost in the Pac-12 Tournament to USC and finished the season with a 15-17 record, the disapproval of the third-year coach from donors, boosters and fans appeared to reach an unprecedented level.  BruinReportOnline.com is reporting however

BREAKING: Kerry Keating Out at Santa Clara

HoopDirt.com can confirm through great sources that Kerry Keating is out as the head basketball coach at Santa Clara.  Keating, who just wrapped up his ninth season at the school, closes his tenure with a 139-159 record (11-20 this season). More on this after the Santa Clara makes the announcement which is expected later today.    

BREAKING: Bruiser Flint out at Drexel

Multiple sources have now told HoopDirt.com that following a meeting this morning with AD Eric Zilmer, head basketball coach Bruiser Flint has been relieved of his duties at Drexel.  ESPN.com is also reporting the move.  The firing is not unexpected – Flint’s Dragons struggled to a 6-25 record this past season.  He will wrap up
