Quinnipiac DOB hired at Post

Luke Murray has been hired as an assistant at Post University in Connecticut. He had served the previous season as Tom Moore’s Director of Basketball Operations at Quinnipiac. He replaces JR Fredette who moved on to Mike Jarvis’ staff at Florida Atlantic.

Yale Hires Assistant

Yale has hired Mark Gilbride as an Assistant Coach. Gilbride comes from DII Stonehill College. He replaces Mark Sembrowich who departed for Stanford in June.

Rencher to Join Billikens Staff

Terrence Rencher, the all-time leading scorer at Texas will be added to Rick Majerus’ staff at St. Louis. Rencher recently retired from playing in Europe and finished his degree requirements at Texas last December. He had been the Head Coach at The Regents School in Austin this past season.

Staff Changes at Kansas

Bill Self has rounded out his basketball staff for the 2008-2009 season. Brett Ballard has been promoted to Director of Basketball Operations. He had been the Administrative Assistant / Video Coordinator for the past five years. He fills the spot left open when Ronnie Chalmers resigned. Kyle Keller has been hired to take Ballards spot.

New Video Coordinator at Pitt

Rasheen Davis has been hired as the Video Coordinator at Pitt. He replaces Brian Regan who was promoted to Director of Basketball Operations earlier this summer. Davis was a program assistant for Rick Pitino at Louisville last year.

VMI and Florida International Hire Assistants

Former Ivy League Head Coach to take DIII Job

Dave Faucher, the former Head Coach at Dartmouth, will be announced today as the Head Coach at DIII Daniel Webster. This seems like a very strange move. Faucher holds a career 136-208 (.395%) and moves to a school that has won 34 games in the past 9 years. Good luck to him…I guess.
