Chris Vincent Named DBO at Yale

Chris Vincent has joined James Jones’ staff as the director of basketball operations.

Vincent, a Norwich, Conn., native spent the last year as the video coordinator at the University of Delaware. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach with the United States Coast Guard Academy where he generated scouting reports, broke down film and organized the recruiting database.

Vincent, who earned a degree in sports management from Springfield (Mass.) College in 2013, served as an undergraduate assistant coach at American International College from 2010-12. While at AIC he worked with defensive tendencies as well as the school’s guards during practice, and also assisted in opponent scouting reports. Vincent served as the junior varsity head coach at Southwick-Tolland Regional (Mass.) High School during the 2012-13 season, and also was an assistant coach with the U-17 Connecticut Force AAU squad.

Additionally Vincent served as an assistant video coordinator and assistant to the head coach for the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun in 2012 for Mike Thibault, the current Washington Mystics head coach and the all-time winningest coach in the WNBA. While with the Sun he broke down opponent’s film and tendencies, and also contributed to daily coaching meetings discussing game plans, practice plans and player evaluations. Vincent also conducted individual workouts with the Sun players, and assisted in formulating scouting reports.

Vincent has also served as a basketball instructor and camp counselor at various colleges throughout the New England area.
