Multiple sources have told me that D3 Mount Aloysius College (PA) will name Marcus Thomas as their new head men’s basketball coach. Thomas has most recently served as the head coach at USCAA Penn State Fayette. He will replace Will Cabrera who became an assistant at D3 Lebanon Valley College back in July.

Thomas became the head coach at PSU Fayette back in 2019, and was an assistant at D3 Chatham University (PA) before that. He played collegiately at Pitt Greensburg.

I heard that the other finalists for the job were, Oberlin College assistant Jalen Goodwin, Carnegie Melon assistant David Sloan, and a current HS from the area.

An official announcement is expected this week.
