A few quick hitters from the D1 level…

I have heard that Boston University Director of Basketball Operations Al Paul will be hired as an assistant at Yale. Paul has been at BU for the past three seasons, where he began as the video coordinator before being elevated to DBO. He also worked as an assistant at Putnam Science Academy (CT).

It sounds like New Haven assistant coach Joel Smith is headed back to Northeastern as an assistant coach. Smith, who scored 1,328 career during his career at NU, spent two seasons as the Huskies video coordinator after his professional playing career wrapped up. Following his first year at New Haven, Smith was named to the NABC Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team.

I have heard that Florida Atlantic assistant Akeem Miskdeen is the leader for the final open assistant spot at Florida. Miskdeen has been on former Gator assistant Dusty May’s staff at FAU since 2018. He has also worked at Kent State, and Hampton. More on this one as I hear it.
