Daily Dirt – 5/9/22

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

A few things to kick-off the week…

Jermaine Henderson has joined Daniyal Robinson’s new staff at Cleveland State. Henderson had spent the past five seasons at Kansas State, and had previously worked at Cleveland State from 2015-17. The former player at Miami (OH) has also been an assistant at SEMO (2012-15), and at his alma mater from 1997-2012. An official announcement is expected shortly.

I can confirm earlier reports that Nima Omidvar will be named as an assistant at Coastal Carolina. He worked as the DBO at Fordham last season, and has also been at George Washington, South Alabama, and Maryland. He will replace Zach Settembre, who became an assistant at Tarleton State earlier this spring.

Word on the street is that Bradley DBO Mike Nesbitt is in the final group for the vacant head coach spot at Panola JC. Nesbitt was an assistant at Panola in 2018-19 and has also spent time at New Mexico Junior College, Southern Utah and the University of New Mexico. More on this search as I hear it.

The search at South Carolina State is dragging. Word on the street is that they are expected to name their search firm this week. I hope to hear more here shortly.

Keep an eye on the Iona staff…Casey Stanley already departed for Arkansas State – heard more moves are coming…
